The department of Accommodation and Commercial Services (ACS) at the University of Sheffield has been awarded the Customer First Standard, meaning they score top marks for the service they provide to students, conference delegates and University staff.
The Customer First Standard is recognised nationally and is awarded to public and private sector organisations that deliver the highest levels of service and meet their customers’ needs every step of the way.
ACS is the first department at the University of Sheffield to achieve the standard and they hope to inspire other departments to work towards it as well.
Pat McGrath, Director of Accommodation and Commercial Services at the University of Sheffield said: “Being awarded the Customer First Standard is a great achievement. It shows that we’re committed to providing our customers with excellent service. Over a number of years, we’ve worked hard to develop a customer-focused culture amongst our staff to ensure that every customer has a positive experience when they choose us.
