Museums Sheffield

Vivienne Westwood: The Exhibition launch party

Vivienne Westwood: The Exhibition travelled to a small and exclusive list of international cities, including Sheffield.

Our brief was to deliver a striking and glamorous launch event that evoked the style of Westwood.

Working with Museums Sheffield and the Westwood team, Ruby Slippers provided a full event management service that supported Museum Sheffield’s marketing and communications objectives.

The event was meticulously crafted to create talk-ability and place a spotlight on Sheffield.

“The V&A Vivienne Westwood exhibition launch at Museums Sheffield was The Sheffield party of 2008. As the only UK showing of this world V&A tour, it became the “must attend” event for the city with tickets being traded on eBay just to get in. Without Ruby Slippers we simply would not have had the capacity to deliver an event this big with our in-house team. Ruby Slippers brought imagination, a passion for Westwood design, and most importantly for us meticulous organisational skills to deliver this huge event. From arranging celebrity attendance to security, to set dressing, to clearing up after they applied their tireless enthusiasm and dedication with equal vigour. I would certainly use them for future events in need of a bit of magic”.
