Ruby Slippers worked with The University of Sheffield to help raise awareness of their conferencing, catering and hospitality services.
We were tasked with reaching new audiences, and more specifically, to highlight the facilities and the events that take place at The University.
Approach
Many of the events had fun and distinctive qualities. These included a Guinness World Record-breaking ‘pancake flip’ at the University of Sheffield campus and a ‘taste of Sheffield’ dinner to welcome 6000 university students to Sheffield.
Our initial groundwork helped us to understand the audiences and reveal prominent stories. Next, we developed a PR schedule to engage target groups.
Outcome
We reached local, regional and national titles, also trade audiences via press and media relations. We also engaged target audience groups across social media channels.
Coverage appeared in the Telegraph, Metro, Yorkshire Post, Sheffield Star, Sheffield Telegraph, BBC Radio Sheffield, BBC Yorkshire TV, Calendar TV.
